CASUAL VIBES
We’re a casual, beachy restaurant with a focus on chilled out, relaxed get-togethers.
Rather than the traditional ‘starters, mains and desserts’, you’ll find a more flexible menu, with small plates, big plates and puddings – so it’s up to you whether you’d like a leisurely lunch, a quick bite and a drink, or a few different dishes for your table to share.
ALL INCLUSIVE
Our menu prices include service, so there’s no need for tips when you eat at any of our ‘Shacks (or at any other JPRestaurants). Don’t worry, though – our teams aren’t losing out. We’re an accredited Living Wage employer so everyone receives fair pay, and we’ve got an incentive scheme to keep our team motivated.
Our all-inclusive approach might mean that our menu prices look a little higher than other restaurants, but we find that our pricing is very similar when a tip or service charge is added at other establishments. Take a look at our Living Wage news item to find out more.
ORDER YOUR WAY – TABLE SERVICE OR VIA APP
One of the quickest way to order is via our easy ordering app: simply scan the QR code on your table to get started . Prefer not to order by app? No problem: just place your orders with a member of our friendly team. We offer traditonal table service as well and you can browse the menus placed on your table and then order with one of our friendly servers and we will run a tab for you so you can make as many orders as you like. We’ll bring you the bill once you’re ready, and you can pay at the bar before you leave.
Whichever method of ordering you choose, our friendly team will be around to give you information about our menu and specials or just have a friendly chat.
If you use the app you can then browse our menus and place orders online – either pay as you go, or run a tab and pay online or at the bar at the end of your meal. Each time you place an order, it’ll go straight through to our team, who’ll prepare your food and drinks and bring them right to your table. And if you are running a tab online you can also mix and match and order with a server or use the app as you wish.
There’s no need to download the app (it’s web-based), and all information and payments are processed securely by our online payment provider. It won’t take long to enter your info on the day (you can take a scan of your payment card, or simply type the details in). But for the quickest experience, we’d suggest using Apple Pay or Google Pay. If you’ve got these set up already, you’ll find paying a breeze. If not, it’s easy to set them up before your visit: they’re easy to use, very secure, and can be set up in a few minutes. If you need help, have a look at this guide to get started.
Which ever route you chose to order if you don’t fancy waiting for your bill at the bar, you can also scan the ‘pay your bill’ QR code on your table to pay online via card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. It only takes a minute, and means that there’s no waiting around at the end of the meal – just pay and go.
QUICK BITE, OR LOTS OF COURSES?
We’ve moved away from traditional starters, mains and desserts – so you can order whatever you want, whenever you want it. You’re after sticky toffee pudding, but your partner wants some more oysters? No problem – just order them together, and we’ll bring them out at the same time. You’d like some small plates first, then big plates later? Also not an issue – just place the small plates order first, then place your big plates order when you’re ready for them.
Once ordered, everything comes out when it’s ready – so you can order as much or as little as you want, whenever you want.
GROUP ORDERS
No more bill-splitting hassle! When you pay your bill online, you can choose to split by amount, or to split equally between a number of guests. Everyone can pay on their own devices, meaning no waiting around for the card machine or queuing up at the bar.
CASHLESS
To give the speediest service, we’ve gone cashless. All payments at Jersey Crab Shack are via credit card, debit card, gift card, or NFC payments (contactless, Apple Pay or Google Pay).
